Job summary

BTI Security is seeking security officers in Maryland for full- and part-time roles across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends. Officers will perform access control, patrols, incident reporting, and emergency response while ensuring contract compliance and safety for client sites.

Candidates must hold a Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card, have at least two years of experience, and demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card / Permit required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable Unarmed Security Officer experience.
• High School Diploma or GED recognized by US Dept. of Education.

Responsibilities

• Access control & monitoring at designated entrances/exits; verify credentials and log visitors, employees, and vehicles as required.
• Patrol and surveillance of interior, exterior, and perimeter areas; monitor surveillance systems.
• Incident response and reporting; complete detailed daily activity reports (DARs) and logs.
• Provide emergency first aid/CPR when required until responders arrive.
• Communications: use two-way radios and tools to convey updates clearly.
• Maintain licensing/credentials; adhere to post orders, rules, and client directives.
• Perform other site-specific duties as assigned by On-Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
