Job summary

Allied Universal in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Unarmed Mobile Patrol. You will patrol and safeguard clients across industries, monitor access points, and document observations with professionalism.

The role offers a part-time schedule (DayTime Sat 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Sun 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and pays $17.85 per hour, with opportunities to participate in our Shift-claim platform and growth programs.

Qualifications

CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, loading areas, and parking areas, as applicable to the location.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or property hazards, helping to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence and timely reporting.
Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, operate authorized communication systems, and coordinate with building management and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
