Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Patrol with one year of experience for the Tustin, CA area. The role involves patrolling a healthcare facility, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Position type is Full Time with an Overnight Shift. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Applicants will undergo a background check and drug screening as part of employment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
