Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Hilo, Hawaii, to safeguard clients across healthcare facilities and other environments. The role emphasizes visible patrols, incident reporting, and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $22.58 per hour. You will perform day and night shifts, support access control, and respond to incidents while adhering to site-specific protocols and healthcare

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following healthcare location protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with healthcare staff, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.]
