• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters.
• Monitor access, verify authorization, and document visitor activity per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a correctional government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with facility personnel and emergency responders, escalating concerns through designated channels as appropriate.
