About the Job

This is a part-time, hourly, in-person position on the UMN Morris Campus in Morris, MN, located 150 miles west of the Twin Cities.

This position averages 14 hours per week (35% time). Hours are "as needed" with a range of 0-40 hours per week. The role is represented by the Teamsters labor agreement.

The responsibilities include quality food production, maintaining cleanliness, and providing customer service to a diverse university community in Dining Services or Turtle Mountain Cafe.

Job Duties
  • Prepare, process, and serve high-quality foods, including Simply-to-Go items, at Turtle Mountain Cafe and the Dining Hall.
  • Operate mechanical equipment for food processing, assist with food prep, and work at various food stations.
  • Handle cash register transactions and ensure campus food presentation standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
Maintain Standards
  • Follow food handling and safety procedures, maintain cleanliness, and report equipment issues.
  • Manage supplies, restock as needed, and prepare items in advance for service.
Supervision

This position reports to the UMM Dining Services General Manager and management team. The employer may modify duties as needed.
