Staff Physician – Interventional Radiology provides medical care to a large array of patients by providing minimally invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of disease. As assigned by the Chairman, the Physician will provide service at various UM/JMH locations including Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, satellite centers in Broward county (Plantation and Deerfield Beach), the Lennar Foundation Medical Center, and UHealth Doral.

Job Functions:

1. Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures.
3. Evaluate patients pre- and post-intervention.
4. Supervise technical personnel performance.
5. Evaluate and consult on new referrals and follow up in IR clinic.
6. Ensure quality assurance in interventional imaging practices.
7. Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested.
8. Provide emergency patient care in the setting of interventional radiology.
9. Participate in the on-call schedule for Interventional Radiology.
10. Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to interventional imaging.

Core Qualifications:

Education:

Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent).

Certification and Licensing:

• Florida Medical License or equivalent.
• American Board of Radiology Certification.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved Fellowship Program in Vascular Interventional.
