The position requires ARDMS or ARRT certification, State licensure as applicable, and BLS.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registered through ARDMS or ARRT and licensed per State requirements.
• Current BLS certification from an AHA-approved course.
• Successful completion of orientation and onboarding programs.

• Ability to maintain professional licensure and comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for inpatient, outpatient, STAT, and routine cases.
• Conduct general, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging studies.
• Review and analyze ultrasound images to ensure diagnostic quality and accuracy.
• Provide compassionate patient care while using independent judgment and critical thinking.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Utilize electronic clinical ordering systems and PACS for image documentation and workflow management.
• Rotate to imaging off-site locations and the operating room as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
• Participate in required hospital education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

This position utilizes advanced ultrasound technology to conduct general, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging while ensuring exceptional patient care, accuracy, and efficiency. The Ultrasound Technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.

A Typical Day for an Ultrasound Technologist May Include:

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) approved course.
• Successful completion of all required orientation and onboarding programs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
