Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved JRC sonography program.
• Holds current BLS CPR certification.
• Attends ongoing education as described by department policy.
• Demonstrates safe operation of ultrasound equipment.
• Knowledge of infection control in hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of ultrasound procedures under a radiologist's direction.
• Assist with clerical tasks and patient care on assigned unit.
• Interact with patients, physicians, and coworkers professionally.
• Follow safety and body mechanics for patient and equipment handling.
• Provide leadership for student sonography program and inventory tasks as needed.
