Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts and Doppler studies for radiologists and physicians.

The role may involve interventional procedures and imaging in OR, IR, or inpatient units. Strong communication, ED credits, and ARDMS/RDMS eligibility are required for this 100% clinical position.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or Registry eligible (ARDMS/RDMS) required or eligible.
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Maintain continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts and Doppler studies.
• Assist with interventional ultrasound procedures and image acquisition for radiologists.
• Provide patient-centered care with age-appropriate communication and safety.
• Possibility of procedures in other departments such as OR, IR and hospital inpatient units; 100% clinical role.

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. The Ultrasound Technologist performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care. This position may require performing procedure in other departments such as O.R., I.R. and on hospital inpatient units. This position is 100% clinical.
