Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts and Doppler studies. The role may require interventional procedures and assignments in O.R., I.R., and inpatient units; the position is 100% clinical.

Qualifications include ARDMS/RDMS eligibility or certification, graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, and excellent communication skills with ongoing continuing education credits.

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. The Ultrasound Technologist performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care. This position may require performing procedure in other departments such as O.R., I.R. and on hospital inpatient units. This position is 100% clinical.
