Job summary

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist PRN to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across abdominal, OB/GYN, venous Doppler and more. The role requires ARDMS and ARRT credentials with strong safety and infection control practices.

The candidate should be able to assist in ultrasound-guided biopsies and support the department with equipment and supply management. Travel across STRIC locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: degree or better in ultrasonography or radiologic technology; associates or higher.
• Certification: ARDMS required; RDMS (ABD/OBGYN) preferred.
• Licenses: ARRT (S) and ARRT (VS) as applicable.
• Certification may be current for state licensing and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ultrasound skills and safety standards with ongoing competency.
• Assists physicians in ultrasound-guided biopsies and invasive procedures.
• Provides care across neonatal to geriatric populations.
• Manages Radiology Computer System for scheduling, tracking and charges.
• Adheres to infection control/universal precautions and sterile technique.
