Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in a fast-paced radiology department. You will verify patient information, prepare patients, and obtain clinical history prior to imaging while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, coordinating with radiologists for accurate diagnosis, and maintaining documentation in EMR/PACS.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Ability to use radiology software and PACS systems.
• Strong patient care and communication skills across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and history prior to scanning.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal images and waveforms.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
