Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks an Ultrasound Technologist in the Breast Health department. Under radiologist direction, you perform ultrasound procedures with independent judgment, contributing to imaging support and patient care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program with CPR/BLS certification; ARDMS certification is preferred. You will be part of a team dedicated to diagnostic imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Ultrasound school or equivalent.
• Board certification in ARDMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs Ultrasound procedures at a technical level with independence and clinical judgment.
• Assists radiologists in imaging for diagnosis or intervention and supports designated areas as required.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist and or the Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator performs Ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis or intervention. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

Require graduate of accredited Ultrasound school or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer Board Certified American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
