Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist PRN to perform high-frequency ultrasound exams across general, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging. You will operate ultrasound equipment, adhere to ACR protocols, and help ensure efficient workflow within the Imaging Services Department.

Responsibilities include producing diagnostic exams, maintaining sterile techniques, and assisting radiologists when required, with opportunities to support daily operations and documentation in PACS.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) is required; RVT preferred.
• Vocational school graduate in Diagnostic Imaging.
• 1 year of experience is required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying high frequency sound waves for the purpose performing general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound to detect pathology. Operates the Ultrasound equipment, follows ACR protocols, and radiologists guidelines to produce diagnostic exams. Responsible for workflow including PACS to obtain a permanent record of the examination and assist in the daily operating of the Imaging Services Department. Uses sterile techniques with all procedures requiring it and assists the radiologist with procedures when a physician’s presence is required.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS); RVT preferred
• Vocational School Graduate in Diagnostic Imaging
• 1 year of experience, required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
