Job summary

Medical City Denton, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform quality ultrasound procedures and uphold patient care standards.

You will follow physician orders, maintain equipment and documentation, and participate in safety and department initiatives. Eligible candidates hold RDMS and related vascular certifications, with BCLS completed within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RDMS credential is required for ultrasound procedures.
• ARRT-VS, RVT or RVS certifications or accredited alternatives within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality ultrasound procedures according to physician orders.
• Maintains patient safety, records and documentation and QC procedures.
• Participates in department initiatives and adheres to radiation safety standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs quality Ultrasound procedures, follows physician’s orders, practices quality patient care, exercise excellent customer service, maintains competencies and current knowledge of procedures, participates in equipment Q.C., completes all records and documentation, practices radiation safety, involved in department initiatives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer


• (ARRT-VS) Vascular Sonography, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist, or Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
