Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our Ultrasound team. You will perform diverse ultrasound procedures, adhere to exam protocols, and contribute to diagnostic accuracy while maintaining compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures and ensure exam protocols deliver diagnostic information.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of life-saving techniques and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Introduce ultrasound basics to student technologists and supervise appropriate patient care.
  • Assess and treat patients across all ages, translating findings to support clinical decisions.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team. We are proud to provide the “care like family” mission of the hospital. In this role:

You will perform a variety of Ultrasound Procedures and are responsible for exam protocols that provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.

You will have a working knowledge of the life-saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.

You will assume the responsibility for specified examinations and will be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to the student technologists.

You will be responsible for assessment and treatment of care appropriate to all ages of patients served.

You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients’ needs.

What qualifications you will need:
