You will interact with patients daily, ensuring safety, comfort and clear communication throughout the imaging process.

The role requires ARDMS/ARDCS credentials and BLS/CPR, with a focus on abdomen, OB/GYN, neurosonology and pediatric studies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of sonography.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen upon hire or

Responsibilities

• Performs digital, color and duplex scanning.
• Selects the proper transducer, frequency and diameter for performance of the examination.
• Performs emergency exams at bedside. Demonstrates ability to recognize a diagnostic scan and render an initial interpretation to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Verifies correct patient using two patient identifiers.
• Follows standard patient identifier of name and date of birth.
• Evaluates patient condition to see if they are capable of answering questions necessary for proper identification.
