Job summary

Parkridge West Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures ordered by physicians and to deliver quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. You will perform surgery and portable exams, document exams in Meditech, verify images in PACS, and follow quality controls and documentation of patient history and lab values.

Eligible candidates are graduates of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, with ARDMS

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS registered or acquire within 6 months.
• BLS current.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
• You will be responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• You will demonstrate the ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• You will accurately follow physician orders, document the completion of the exam in Meditech, scans document and verify images in PACS.
• You will follow proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
• You will demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patient’s history, including lab values.

Education

Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

ARDMS registered or acquire within 6 months
