Job summary

Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK seeks a per diem Registered Sonographer to perform and evaluate sonographic studies and collect patient history. The role offers day shifts, on-site work, and relocation assistance for eligible hires.

Candidates should have ARDMS certification or eligibility, within 1 year of hire National Registered status, and BLS within 30 days. The position includes growth opportunities within Providence's imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations.
• Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
• Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Position is per diem, 0.01 FTE, day shift, hours as needed. Located onsite at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK!

Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations. Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
