Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking an Associate Echocardiograph Technologist for a full-time 0.9 FTE, variable shift. You will perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac function and support the cardiology care team, with patient education and report preparation responsibilities.

Requirements include an accredited Echo program, ARDMS or CCI credentials, and BLS certification, plus at least 6 months of sonography experience.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a sonographer.
• Successful completion of an accredited Echo sonography program.
• Upon hire: ARDMS/ARRT national credentialing.
• Upon hire: CCI national certification.
• Upon hire: BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms to produce diagnostic data assessing heart function.
• Explain testing purpose and duration to patients and obtain pertinent information.
• Review results and arrange reports for physician review.
• Provide other diagnostic testing within scope of practice.

We are hiring for Associate Echocardiograph Technologist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is Full Time, 0.9 FTE, Variable Shift, 36 hours per week.

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, Senior Echo sonographers and according to established policies and procedures, performs echocardiograms to produce diagnostic data assessing heart function and capability to be used by the cardiologist to enhance the care and treatment of the patient. In doing so, obtains pertinent patient information and explains the purpose and duration of testing to the patients. Reviews results and arranges reports for physician review. Provides other diagnostic testing within scope of practice.

Required qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an accredited Echo sonography program.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
