Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ensure accurate image documentation. The role requires the ability to review patient history, maintain confidentiality, and communicate with radiologists.

Minimum experience is zero to six months, with Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program. ARDMS certification is preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire. Training and orientation duties may be included.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Minimum Experience: zero to six months.
• Desired: ARDMS Registered or must become registered within 1 year of hire. Certification by the ARDMS plus 3 years experience in ultrasound preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound scans of indicated areas to obtain sonographic information.
• Reviews patient history and ensures proper documentation and confidentiality.
• Annotates images correctly and communicates findings to radiologists.
• Maintains equipment functionality and adheres to safety protocols.
• Assists in education and orientation of radiology residents.
