Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved ultrasound program required.
  • Registry eligibility preferred for Registered Ultrasound Sonographer.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Ultrasound Technologist - Per Diem
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Ultrasound Technologist
  • Location: Highland Park Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem - as needed
  • Hours: Day hours with rotating Saturdays
  • Call: 6-8 calls per month
  • Required Travel: Local - Gurnee, Vernon Hills
What you will do:
  • Perform ultrasound exams
  • Prepare patients for exams: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients, and ensure their comfort
  • Interpret ultrasound results
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Schedule patients if necessary
What you will need:
  • License: N/A
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Certification: CPR-BLS required. Completion of an approved formal ultrasound program by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required. Registry eligible; preference for Registered Ultrasound Sonographer
  • Skills: N/A
