Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credential.
• RDMS-AB Abdomen Specialty must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technician) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
• Ensure delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• Follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
• Follow quality controls and HLD procedures for equipment and accessories.
• Document patient history including lab values.

Education

Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

RDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

RDMS-AB Abdomen Specialty must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
