Job summary

Benefis Health System in Great Falls, MT is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to support our diagnostic imaging team. You will prepare rooms and patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and perform age-specific assessments during ultrasound and vascular procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or complete an ultrasound training program, SPI examination, ARDMS eligibility, and current BLS certification; one year

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of an Ultrasound training program.
• SPI examination is required.
• Must be eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• One (1) year of radiologic/imaging experience preferred.
• SDMS or ARDMS certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-specific patient assessment prior to and during ultrasound/vascular procedures.
• Prepare room and patient for the ultrasound procedure.
• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
• Handle pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
• Follow licensing board/agency rules and Benefis Health System policies.
