Job summary

Benefis Health System in Great Falls, MT seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform age-specific imaging procedures, prepare the room and patient, and record images. The ideal candidate will operate radiology equipment, evaluate study quality, and communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure smooth department operations.

The role requires Montana licensure, ARRT certification in radiography, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Radiologic Technology program preferred.
• Montana Radiologic Technology license required; ARRT in radiography.
• BLS certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform age-specific patient assessment prior to and during Radiologic procedures.
• Prepare room and patient for procedures; record and process images.
• Operate radiology equipment; evaluate image quality and ensure accurate results.
• Communicate with patient, family, and healthcare staff; contribute to efficient department operation.
• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Responsible for coordinating and performing an age-specific patient assessment prior to and during the Radiologic procedure, preparing the room and the patient for the procedure, and recording the images.

Utilizes radiology equipment accurately, evaluates the quality of the study, and performs procedure management.

Communicates with the patient, family, and other healthcare workers and contributes to the efficient operation of the department.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned.

Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency.

Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; BS degree preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Current State of Montana Radiologic Technology license required. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography. Current BLS certification.

Exemption Wage Non-Exempt Starting Wage $27.86/hourly Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience
