Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform a range of examinations including OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. The role includes assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures and making clinical judgments from patient information and prior records.

Ideal candidates will have completed an ultrasound training program, be eligible for ARDMS registry, obtain BLS certification on hire, and have about one year of ultrasound experience or internship.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Ultrasound training program; eligible for ARDMS registry examination.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern.

Responsibilities

• Performs OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts ultrasound examinations.
• Assists the radiologist during invasive procedures.
• Makes clinical judgments based on information from physicians, medical records, patient interview and assessments.
