Qualifications

Description

AMI has an exciting opportunity available for Ultrasound School Graduates & New Technologists! Our New Graduate Training Program offers comprehensive, hands-on scanning experience across multiple specialties, including but not limited to:

  • General
  • Abdomen
  • Vascular & Advanced Vascular
  • Breast
  • OBGYN
  • Small Parts & MSK

Post-Training Responsibilities
  • Perform all requested ultrasonographic exams according to established policies and schedules.
  • Review patient requests for diagnostic procedures, considering anatomical and clinical information.
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures while respecting their privacy.
  • Ensure ultrasound equipment is well-maintained and operational, following Quality Control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule

This full-time position involves a 40-hour workweek, primarily during days, with evenings and rotating weekends. Possible schedules include a five-day workweek with eight-hour shifts or a four-day workweek with two twelve-hour and two eight-hour shifts. Coverage will be needed at AMI offices in Deptford, Somerdale, and Sicklerville, with potential coverage in Hammonton and Vineland-S. Delsea Drive. Schedules may change based on business needs.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • ARDMS certification with at least one registry prior to start.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross required before employment begins.
  • Knowledge of ultrasound procedures, including venous insufficiencies, arterial duplex, PVR/ABI, vein mapping, dialysis access evaluation, and abdominal duplex exams.
  • Clinical rotation exposure to ultrasound systems and operations.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality images and document accurately.
  • Professionalism, teamwork, and high standards of work.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
