Description

Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and facilitate smooth patient flow. They must handle ultrasound equipment setup and operation, work flexible shifts, troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and stay updated on technical advances. Adherence to imaging competencies and professional behavior aligned with the organization's values is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Support staff growth and promote physician satisfaction.
• Ensure patient assessments and procedures meet safety and quality standards.
• Perform examinations within scope, adapt to patient needs, and ensure proper data storage.
• Follow PACS procedures and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program or equivalent.

Experience

• Preferred: 1 year ultrasound scanning experience.
• Required: Basic computer skills.

Licenses/Certifications

• Within 1 year of hire: Sonography (S) by ARRT or Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS.
• Preferred certifications include Vascular Sonography, Breast Sonography, OB/GYN RDMS, Echocardiography RDCS, or RVT by ARDMS.
• State licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
