Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking an Ultrasonographer II at Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, Virginia. The role covers general ultrasound, OB/GYN, breast and other exams, with emphasis on patient questions, confidentiality, and high-quality image acquisition per protocol.

You will manage the ultrasound lab operations, schedule, QA, and equipment maintenance while adhering to regulatory standards and RHS policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in ultrasound scanning and documentation.
• Licenses/certifications required upon hire as listed (RDMS/ARRT/CCI/ARDMS).
• CPR/BLS certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound exams per protocol.
• Educate patients about procedures and obtain informed consent as needed.
• Evaluate image quality and provide preliminary findings to the physician.
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness; report faults and perform QA checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies to avoid service interruptions.
