Education includes a certificate or associate degree in Medical Sonography, ARDMS registration, and BLS certification. One year of sonography experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate or Associate's Degree in Medical Sonography required.
• ARDMS registration required (non-registered must obtain within 24 months).
• BLS certification within 30 days required.

Aufgaben

• Review outpatient orders before procedures to prevent delays.
• Educate and prepare patients for procedures with clear communication.
• Position patients to reveal anatomy and ensure comfort and safety.
• Obtain patient history to assist radiologist.
• Perform abdomen, OB/GYN, pelvis, small parts, pediatrics and other sonograms.
• Document exam results in the hospital information system.
• Maintain imaging equipment and mentor students if needed.
