Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to work PRN at Glenview-area facilities. Per diem schedule, as-needed hours, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus are offered. The position requires ARDMS, an approved ultrasound program, and CPR-BLS certification.

Local travel is minimal to Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. Strong patient prep and equipment maintenance skills are essential. Per diem commitments range from 32 to 144 hours over six weeks, with eligibility for premium pay and

Qualifications

• Must hold ARDMS license or registry eligibility as required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• CPR-BLS certification required; formal ultrasound program approved by ARDMS.
• Completion of an approved ultrasound program; registry eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams.
• Prepare patients for exams, collect history, explain procedures, ensure comfort.
• Interpret ultrasound images.
• Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment.
• Schedule patients as needed.

Position Highlights

• Position: Ultrasound Technologist
• Sign on bonus: $1,000
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Per diem
• Hours: as needed
• Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: Local

What You Will Do

• Perform ultrasound exam
• Prepare patients for exam: obtains and records history, explains procedure, positions patients and ensures their comfort
• Interprets ultrasound
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Schedules patients if necessary

What You Will Need

• License: ARDMS
• Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Certification: CPR-BLS required. Completion of formal ultrasound program approved by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required. Registry eligible required; prefer Registered Ultra sonographer
• Skills: N/A
