AMI is seeking Per Diem Ultrasound Technologists to join the team in the offices in Ocean & Monmouth Counties!

At AMI, our technologists perform a variety of Ultrasound studies, including General, Vascular and Women’s Imaging. AMI technologists are skilled, have excellent customer relations experienceand are team players. Our Technologists work closely with Radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Performing all requested ultrasonographic exams in accordance with established policy and as per established hours of availability;
  • Reviewing all patient requests for diagnostic procedures as to designated anatomical part and clinical history;
  • Instructing patients regarding procedures and respects patient privacy at all times;
  • Ensures that the ultrasound equipment is in excellent operational condition as per established Quality Control procedures; and
  • Performing other duties as required and assigned.

Per Diem coverage opportunities are available in the AMI offices in Toms River, Brick, Wall, Neptune, and Manahawkin. Scheduling is based on your availability and department needs. Coverage needs include days, evenings, and Saturdays.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with the ability to perform all aspects of Sonography with expertise- General, Vascular, Breast and procedures
  • ARDMS Registered
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS Certification required prior to start of employment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Knowledge of all Ultrasound operations, including diagnostic imaging equipment
  • Must be able to work independently andwith minimal supervision
  • Ability to produce high quality images and provide documentation accurately and precisely
  • Ability to exercise high standards of professionalism and teamwork
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and communication skills
  • Displays strong work ethic with a friendly and cheerful disposition
