Join to apply for the Ultrasound Technologist - General, Vascular, & Breast, Per Diem role at Atlantic Medical Imaging.

AMI is seeking Per Diem Ultrasound Technologists to join the team in the offices in Ocean & Monmouth Counties.

At AMI, our technologists perform a variety of Ultrasound studies, including General, Vascular, and Women’s Imaging. They are skilled, have excellent customer relations experience, and are team players. Our Technologists work closely with Radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Performing all requested ultrasonographic exams in accordance with established policy and hours of availability;
  2. Reviewing all patient requests for diagnostic procedures regarding the designated anatomical part and clinical history;
  3. Instructing patients regarding procedures and respecting patient privacy at all times;
  4. Ensuring that the ultrasound equipment is in excellent operational condition following established Quality Control procedures; and
  5. Performing other duties as required and assigned.

Per Diem coverage opportunities are available in the AMI offices in Toms River, Brick, Wall, Neptune, and Manahawkin. Scheduling is based on your availability and department needs, including days, evenings, and Saturdays.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with the ability to perform all aspects of Sonography with expertise - General, Vascular, Breast, and procedures;
  2. ARDMS Registered;
  3. American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS Certification required prior to employment;
  4. Intermediate computer skills;
  5. Knowledge of all Ultrasound operations, including diagnostic imaging equipment;
  6. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
  7. Ability to produce high-quality images and document accurately and precisely;
  8. Strong professionalism and teamwork skills;
  9. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills;
  10. Friendly and cheerful disposition with a strong work ethic.
