South Jersey Radiology Associates is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist at Mt. Laurel Women's Center to perform ultrasound examinations and provide preliminary findings to Radiologists.

The role involves direct patient interaction, image review with radiologists, and maintaining equipment and exam areas. The position requires RDMS certification in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN, with RVT preferred, and typically involves standing most of the shift.

Qualifications

• RDMS (Abdomen and/or OB/GYN) certification.
• RVT preferred.
• Two years ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Infection control practices.
• Knowledge of pathology.
• Knowledge of image interpretation.
• High level disinfectant procedures.

Responsabilités

• Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered and report to Radiologists.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Review patient and referring physician information before examination.
• Review images with radiologists when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide accurate written interpretations to Radiologist.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment QC checklist.
• Travel to SJRA offices as needed.
• Stand 80-85% of the shift while scanning.

SUMMARY –Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians and report the preliminary findings to the Radiologists.

• Position Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30a-8p, Saturday 8a-12p
• Location: Mt. Laurel Women's Center

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review personal information for accuracy , patient information ,referring physician, referral/script prior to performing the examination
• Explain procedure to patient and answer any questionsregarding the exam procedure
• Perform a high quality ultrasound studies as ordered by the referring physicians’ orders
• Review images with radiologists when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
• Provide accurate written technical interpretation to Radiologist
• Maintain exam rooms, which may include stocking with supplies
• Maintainwork area and equipment QC checklist
• Travel to SJRA offices as necessary
• Punctuality and regular attendance
• All other duties as assigned
• 80-85% of shiftstanding scanning patients
• Repetitive motion using transducers
• Position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and twisting, assisting patients on and off examination table
• Patient contact
• Assist patients on and off exam tables as indicated
• Potential exposure for any communicable disease
• Potential exposure to blood and body fluids
• Contact with coworkers, patients and their family members, physicians, referring physicians and their office staff

Physical Demands of the Position

Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during scheduled shift. Assist patients on and off exam tables.

Working Conditions

Indoor office setting with daily patient contact. There is the potential of exposure to blood and other body fluids.
