South Jersey Radiology Associates seeks a Part-time Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations and report preliminary findings to Radiologists. The position is based at Voorhees Women's Center with a M/W/F 8:00–4:30 schedule and a Saturday rotation.

You will review patient and physician information, explain procedures, perform high-quality ultrasound studies, review images with radiologists, maintain confidentiality, and keep exam rooms and equipment ready.

Competenze

• RDMS certification in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN.
• Two years ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

SUMMARY -Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians and report the preliminary findings to the Radiologists.

• Position Type: Part Time
• Schedule: M/W/F 8-430 and Saturday rotation
• Location: Voorhees Women's Center

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review personal information for accuracy , patient information ,referring physician, referral/script prior to performing the examination
• Explain procedure to patient and answer any questionsregarding the exam procedure
• Perform a high quality ultrasound studies as ordered by the referring physicians' orders
• Review images with radiologists when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
• Provide accurate written technical interpretation to Radiologist
• Maintain exam rooms, which may include stocking with supplies
• Maintainwork area and equipment QC checklist
• Travel to SJRA offices as necessary
• Punctuality and regular attendance
• All other duties as assigned
• 80-85% of shiftstanding scanning patients
• Repetitive motion using transducers
• Position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and twisting, assisting patients on and off examination table
• Patient contact
• Assist patients on and off exam tables as indicated
• Potential exposure for any communicable disease
• Potential exposure to blood and body fluids
• Contact with coworkers, patients and their family members, physicians, referring physicians and their office staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• RDMS (Abdomen and/or OB/GYN)
• RVT preferred
• Two years experience as ultrasound technologist preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology

• Knowledge of image interpretation

Physical Demands of the Position - Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during scheduled shift. Assist patients on and off exam tables.

Working Conditions - Indoor office setting with daily patient contact. There is the potential of exposure to blood and other body fluids.
