Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist will work in a collaborative environment to provide superior patient care. Responsibilities include acquiring, processing, submitting for interpretation, and archiving ultrasound images. The technologist will also be responsible for patient care in the ultrasound area.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and staff.
2. Perform ultrasounds and general radiological procedures, including:

• Reviewing imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical info.
• Positioning patients and selecting optimal imaging options.
• Monitoring patient status and intervening or contacting caregivers as needed.
• Assessing image quality before submission.
• Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions.
• Assisting with biopsies, FNAs, and hysterosonograms.
• Performing a range of sonographic exams on adult and pediatric patients.

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, perform QA, and document performance data.

Handle clerical duties related to patient records.

Address service calls and follow up as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• NYS License and ARDMS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deescalate stressful situations.
• Attention to detail, flexibility, punctuality, and independence.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including EHR, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Availability to cover multiple sites and flexible scheduling.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate Range: $50.99 - $60.85. Salary offers will be based on experience, skills, training, and education.
