Job summary

Christus Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform routine and advanced imaging, support fellow technologists, and maintain smooth patient flow. The role requires setup and operation of ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting, QA participation, and adherence to imaging competencies.

The candidate should have graduated from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program, with at least basic computer skills, and be eligible for relevant ARRT/ARDMS certifications within the first year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology.
• 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred.
• Basic computer experience required.
• State Licensure/Certifications: ARRT Sonography (S) or ARDMS RDMS/OBGYN within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced ultrasound exams.
• Support other imaging technologists as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and participate in QA.
• Ensure exams are stored in PACS and follow downtime procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to optimize patient throughput.
• Adhere to CHRISTUS Health policies, confidentiality, and patient care standards.
