Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for assignments in Lewiston, ME or Bridgton, ME. You will perform ultrasound exams, position patients and equipment, and produce high-quality recordings for interpretation.

Images will be transmitted to PACS in a busy radiology department. The role requires a minimum of one year of ultrasound experience, graduation from an accredited program or current certification within 90 days, and RDMS/ARRT certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year experience as a Ultrasound Technologist in an acute care hospital, Radiology/Imaging required.
• Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
• RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain
• 1 year of previous experience required.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
• Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
• Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording.
• The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
