Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a qualified diagnostic medical sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic procedures under radiologist direction.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an approved Medical Sonography program, be ARDMS registered (or eligible), and be flexible for PRN day shifts with on-call rotation including weekends and holidays. Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography.
• Registered sonographer with ARDMS or registry eligible.
• Ability to work PRN with on-call weekend/night rotations.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform procedures under radiologist direction.
• Assist radiologist in interpreting films and maintain professional demeanor.
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential to successful imaging.
• Share call duties with Lakes Regional as needed and meet department needs.
• Adhere to medical ethics and hospital missions while delivering quality imaging.
