Job summary

CHRISTUS Children's is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a wide range of routine and advanced imaging procedures, support fellow imaging staff, and help maintain smooth patient flow. The technologist must setup and operate ultrasound equipment and show flexibility to work other shifts or campuses as needed.

Preferred candidates have completed an accredited Ultrasound Technology program, possess ARRT/ARDMS certifications as applicable, and have basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or approved equivalent.
• 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred
• Basic computer experience required

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the CHRISTUS Health competencies.
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism across staff and patients.
• Promotes a positive work environment by collaborating with radiologists and physicians.
• Ensures exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and reports to Biomedical staff.
• Performs duties to support patient throughput within licensure and competencies.
