Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, CO, is hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and perform radiology exams with independent judgment. You will communicate results to radiologists and assist with daily ultrasound lab operations.

Qualifications include graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program, ARDMS registration in required areas, and current BLS/CPR. Two years of hospital experience is preferred; health benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Active ARDMS registration in physics, abdomen, OB/Gyn and vascular.
• BLS/CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to optimize images and follows exam protocols.
• Integrates patient history and prior results for accurate exams.
• Communicates diagnostic information to radiologist and attending physician.
• Maintains safety and comfort of patients during procedures.
• Coordinates scheduling and workload with Radiology Coordinator and front desk.
