Job summary

Southeast Georgia Health System Inc is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform abdominal, cardiac, vascular, and fetal imaging, explain procedures to patients, position them for comfort, and ensure high-quality examinations.

You will review images for quality, summarize findings for physicians, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with clinicians and staff. Breast ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of anatomy, pathology and imaging protocols.
• Ability to interpret findings in real time.
• Effective communication with patients and medical staff.
• Breast ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring comfort during exams.
• Imaging: Using transducers to scan, capture, and optimize images of the abdomen, heart, blood vessels, or fetus.
• Diagnostic Analysis: Reviewing images for quality, identifying normal/pathological findings, and summarizing findings for physicians.
• Equipment Maintenance: Preparing, cleaning, and troubleshooting ultrasound machines.
