Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• ARDMS or equivalent certification required; BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of ultrasound experience in a clinical or imaging center.
• Knowledge of abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and answering questions.
• Position patients appropriately and ensure their comfort during the exam.
• Review patient history and verify physician orders.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Adjust technical settings and select appropriate transducers for each exam.
• Perform Doppler and vascular studies as required.
• Follow infection control and ultrasound safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Work closely with radiologists and physicians to review images and provide preliminary observations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Perform routine equipment checks and cleaning; report issues promptly.
