Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health in Germantown, TN seeks a skilled Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to radiology practice standards to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

You will select appropriate technique and positioning, develop and implement procedure plans, document per hospital policies, and maintain equipment and rooms to ensure patient and staff safety. The role requires adherence to safety standards and active participation in improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or RVT registry required or new graduate waiting to take registry.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Proof of registry available within 120 calendar days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough understanding of radiologic principles/theory and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments.
• Develops and implements a procedure/treatment plan according to hospital protocols.
• Completes required documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a neat, safe condition for patient and staff safety.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient care meets standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
