Job summary

Sanitas is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for an on-site, per-diem role in Tampa, FL. The candidate will perform diagnostic general and vascular imaging, ensuring high-quality exams and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Required are an RDMS certification and BLS, with at least 2 years of outpatient imaging experience. Proficiency with eCW, PACS, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office is expected; Spanish and Creole are a plus, and travel is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in echocardiography or a related field from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient diagnostic imaging facility or hospital.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through ARDMS and BLS certification are required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cardiac pathophysiology.
• Proficiency with sonography equipment, eCW, PACS, Google Suite, Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment - Interview patients to gather medical history and ensure safety; document information accurately.
• Equipment Setup - Calibrate ultrasound equipment and perform quality control.
• Imaging Procedures and Optimization - Perform imaging studies and adjust settings for diagnostic value.
• Data Analysis - Assess images for abnormalities and proper annotation.
• Documentation - Maintain detailed patient procedure records and imaging data.
• Communication - Discuss findings with radiologists and help develop treatment plans.
• Quality Assurance - Adhere to QC standards and healthcare regulations.
• Compliance - Ensure HIPAA compliance and company policies.
