Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including portable studies, and to assist with interventional procedures under the radiology team.

The role requires completion of an approved ultrasound program, RVT/RDMS/ARRT certification, and strong communication and computer skills. You will prepare patients, maintain equipment, document findings, and support education of students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office / Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures and portable exams.
• Assists physicians with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and positions for views.
• Maintains equipment, performs QA, and keeps records.
• Provides instruction to students, employees, and residents.
• On-call and holiday/weekend shifts as required.
