Job summary

Baptist Health in Virginia seeks a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiologist, with patient support during procedures.

Candidates must be a registered Radiologic Technologist with KY certification and ARDMS or registry eligible, and maintain current BLS; this full-time, days-only role includes comprehensive benefits such as health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, tuition

Qualifications

• Must be a Radiologic Technologist with a current Kentucky certification.
• Must be registered ultrasound technologist (ARDMS) or registry eligible.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Radiologist.
• Assist Radiologist with patient during examinations and procedures.
• Participate in CQI activities and provide input for improvement.
• Replenish supplies for the ultrasound department.
• Ensure safe operation and daily maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
• Must pass initial competency test and yearly competency testing thereafter.
• Occasionally perform duties of Staff Radiologic Technologist and assist as needed as directed by the Director of Radiology.
• Maintain current BLS.
