Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with a high level of proficiency. You will work under the direction of the Department Director and Radiology staff, ensuring quality scans and compliance with all guidelines.

The role emphasizes patient safety and care across pediatric to geriatric populations, orderly procedure execution, and active participation in continuous quality improvement within the radiology

Qualifications

• Two to three years of x-ray training or ultrasound-related experience preferred.
• Graduate of an ultrasound program and ARDMS eligible.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures following department protocols and guidelines.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure image quality and accuracy.
• Obtain consent, verify orders, and prepare patients; notify Radiologist of discrepancies.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy; adhere to age-specific care and safety standards.
• Document exams accurately and manage data transfer to PACS.
