AdventHealth in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in a fast-paced radiology department. You will verify patient information, position patients, optimize imaging, and document results in EMR/PACS while maintaining infection control standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, Doppler techniques, and familiarity with Radiology software. Excellent patient communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques.
• Proficient with Radiology software and PACS.
• Excellent patient care and communication across all ages.
• Ability to work independently according to Radiologist standards.
• Knowledge of infection control and PPE usage.
• Must hold BLS certification and ARRT-type credentials.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and history before scanning.
• Positions patients and optimizes transducers and factors for best images.
• Maintains EMR and PACS documentation accurately and timely.
• Educates patients and explains procedures, ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Ensures equipment safety, sterilization, and routine cleaning.
